Incidental sun damage

Did you know that 78% of all the sun damage incurred in a lifetime is from incidental exposure? And that most skin aging occurs in summer? You may say, "I'm not out at all during the day!" but just walking to your car & even driving in your car will expose you to unnecessary sun damage. By applying a sunscreen/moisturiser with at least SPF 15 you can prevent aging & pigmentation.

Healthy skin from the inside out

What you put in is what you get out – if you eat healthy foods and look after your body from the inside, it will show in your skin. Increase your intake of antioxidants and vitamins C, E, K so as to combat free radicals & collagen destruction; make sure you are getting enough vitamin A so your skin isn't dry & flaky; and drink lots of water – it helps your body to function properly!

Spring has sprung!

Surprisingly even though everything outdoors is bright and green, our skins are still looking dull from the dry winter. To brighten & bring out the natural radiance in your skin, exfoliate twice a week with a mild exfoliator that leaves your skin feeling silky & soft – not itchy & tight! A mask with clays will also help to further exfoliate the skin leaving it even brighter.

The power fruit

Squeeze a whole lemon into a cup of water (hot or cold) and guzzle it down, or slowly sip on it throughout the day. There are many amazing benefits to this short & easy ritual, but these are my favorite five: It balances pH levels (helps the body to be more alkaline),  it's a great source of vitamin C (immune booster), it aids weight loss, improves digestion AND clears the skin!
